Our First Aid Training is designed for people who are in work or in a work placement. It provides the relevant knowledge and skill development to enable you to become a competent first-aider in the workplace.
The training covers resuscitation, managing an unconscious casualty, treating and controlling bleeds, treating wounds, burns and scalds, injuries to bones, muscles and joints, eye injuries and other minor injuries, as well as the importance of personal hygiene and risks of cross infection. It includes identifying and dealing with shock, poisons, recognising illness, record keeping and using the materials in a first aid box.
Employers are required to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. The Regulations apply to all workplaces including those with less than five employees and to the self-employed.
